Friends2a Stock Counter – Installation & Usage Guide

Overview

Friends2a Stock Counter helps merchants display real-time or simulated inventory messages on product pages. It creates urgency by showing low-stock alerts, quantity text, and progress bars without any coding.

Installation Steps

1. Install the App

• Go to the Shopify App Store.
• Search for Friends2a Stock Counter.
• Click Install and approve permissions.

2. Add to Product Page

• Open Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes.
• Click Customize on your active theme.
• Open a Product page.
• In Product information, click Add block.
• Select Inventory Quantity – Friends2a Stock Counter.

3. Position the Block

• Drag the block to place it near the product title or price.
• Click Save.

Configuration Guide

1. Stock Logic

Choose how stock is displayed:

• Only default – Uses real Shopify inventory.
• Only random – Displays simulated stock.
• Default + random – Mix of real and random stock.

2. Default Stock Settings

• Set the quantity threshold (e.g. show message when stock < 10).

3. Random Stock Settings

• Total items (base) – Maximum stock value.
• Random stock from – Minimum value.
• Random stock to – Maximum value.

Text & Style Settings

• Message text
